About the Business

Birkin Services was founded in 1972 by Tony Birkin, originally providing window cleaning and daily office cleaning services in the North London area. Bruce and Gordon Birkin, Tony’s sons, took over the running of the business in 1978 and by 2007 had grown the business through high quality service delivery to a turnover of several million pounds. Over time, services and locations were expanded, often at the request of satisfied customers. An example of complimentary services included the development of a specialist division within the construction sector.

Construction final hand over cleaning services are currently provided for many blue chip companies such as Carillion Plc and Mansells Construction. The ethos upon which the business was founded upon has been retained, that is to provide high quality service which can be effectively managed from our operating office bases. Service delivery has always been of the utmost importance to us, this being backed up by the fact that many customers have continued to work with us for in excess of 20 years. The family business ethos of treating staff fairly and in a decent manner still prevails; more than 20 staff have been with Birkin Services for over 15 years.
